Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Mayor, dear Schoolchildren.
As an artist one doesn’t often stand behind a speaker’s podium.
We muse and ponder, research, sketch, design, present the results – and if everything goes well what we have thought out can then become a reality.
The story of this work of art began when Mayor Otte emailed me in August 2009 and asked me if I would be interested in giving thought to a previously planned freestanding wall for the City of Leinfelden-Echterdingen - without any obligation or contentual guidelines of any kind.
