"This is my story", draws the emerging Marchivum - beyond the impressive construction site - to the awareness and attention of pedestrians and drivers passing by.
Fourteen pairs of eyes, spread out over the front of the former above-ground air-raid shelter, seem to be looking out of it. Writing shines into the night like these eyes.
All these pairs of eyes belong to people who have helped shape the history of Mannheim.
Women, men, old, young, from different eras, different origins, with varying degrees of prominence. Celebrated, forgotten, rich, poor, powerful or seemingly without influence on the vicissitudes of the city’s history.
